Our partner IN SITU, European platform for artistic creation in public space, opens doors to the general public during its Open Day.

IN SITU

The Cifas is associate partner to IN SITU, a large-scale cooperation project led by Lieux publics, European and national centre for artistic creation in public space based in Marseille, France. IN SITU is a European platform for artistic creation in public space. Since 2003, it has supported around 300 artists working outside conventional venues and contributing to the transformation of our territories. IN SITU is an ecosystem connecting artists with audiences, programmers, and key-players involved in the social and political realities around Europe.

(UN)COMMON SPACES

(UN)COMMON SPACES is a cooperation project taking place since 2020, bringing together 16 partners and 12 associate partners from Europe and abroad. At a time when European societies are undergoing considerable changes, art must be at the forefront to offer new perspectives. To rebuild the pact between art and society, more and more artists are leaving conventional spaces to work in and with the public space, in direct contact with citizens and inhabitants. (UN)COMMON SPACES aims at supporting the strong growth of this sector at a European scale to reinvent the relation between the cultural sector and the civil society.

Open Day in Pelt

The Open Day is the final conference of (UN)COMMON SPACES project, an opportunity to welcome all art and public space lovers for an afternoon dedicated to artistic explorations.

This afternoon will start with a wrap-up of the project: the goals, processes and results of this large-scale European cooperation project, followed by artistic explorations by 15 Associate Artists. The event will end with a dinner shared between artists, programmers and public.

This meeting will also be the occasion to continue celebrating the 20th anniversary of the IN SITU network, with exclusive archives, digital content, and more!

An uncommon journey to encounter and celebrate European artistic diversity in the field of art in public space.
